La tercera edición del Barcelona Spain Masters avanza con su mejor nivel de juego en el primer día del cuadro principal. En la jornada de hoy se han disputado los partidos de individual masculino, individual femenino y dobles mixtos.
Por su parte, en el último partido de la jornada, la estrella local Carolina Marín hacía su debut en la competición ante una volcada afición. Marín conseguía zanjar su encuentro ante la rusa Natalia Perminova por 21-11 y 21-8. La jugadora se mostraba emocionada al jugar en España, puesto que su última competición internacional en el país fue el Campeonato de Europa en Huelva 2018.
Sus compañeras de selección, Clara Azurmendi y Marta González, sin embargo, caían derrotadas en sus partidos. Fabienne Deprez (Alemania) y Supanida Katethong (Tailandia), respectivamente, eran las encargadas de terminar con el camino hacia la final de las españolas.
Además de Marín, han debutado los jugadores más destacados de la competición. Desde primera hora de la mañana, hemos podido ver en acción figuras relevantes. Cabe destacar también, en individual masculino, el éxito de los jugadores franceses. Por una parte, Brice Leverdez se impuso al danés Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus 21-10, 16-21 y 21-13. Por otra parte, Lucas Corvee dejaba sin oportunidades al número 4 de la competición, Wang Tzu Wei (China Taipéi) tras vencer por 21-19, 16-21 y 21-16.
Por último, en dobles mixtos, una de las parejas favoritas del torneo, los ingleses Adcock- Adcock caían derrotados ante los alemanes Jones Ralfy Jansen - Kilasu Ostermeyer en dos sets 21-19 y 23-21. Los koreanos Kim Sa Rang - Kim Ha Na, se alzaban con la victoria ante los holandeses Robin Tabeling - Selena Piek [5] 21-19 24-22.
La jornada del jueves 20 se iniciará a partir de las 10.00h. Para disfrutar de la competición, la organización ofrece entradas gratuitas hasta el viernes a través de las taquillas de la instalación. Durante el fin de semana las entradas se podrán obtener a través de El Corte Inglés. Además, se podrá seguir el acontecimiento en España a través de la retransmisión completa en directo de LaLigaSportTV, y las semifinales y finales también en Esport3 (TV3) y Teledeporte. El seguimiento de resultados de todos los partidos se podrá realizar a través de Badminton World Federation.
Más de 200 voluntarios colaboran en el Barcelona Spain Masters 2020
La edición de este año del Barcelona Spain Masters cuenta con la participación de más de 200 voluntarios. Su faena diaria es primordial para el buen desarrollo de la competición y actividades paralelas al torneo.
Sus funciones son, entre otras: control de acceso a público y a acreditados, control a acceso a secretaria, control de entrenamientos, control a acceso de pista para los jugadores, acomodadores para el público, jueces de línea, control de antidoping, y dinamización de espacios destinados a las actividades para las escuelas.
A través de un sistema de rotaciones se combinan las tareas diariamente. De esta manera, pueden disfrutar de una experiencia completa, y aportar sus conocimientos a todas las áreas relacionadas con la competición.

More than 200 volunteers collaborate in the Barcelona Spain Masters 2020
