La tercera edición del Barcelona Spain Masters ha concluido con las finales celebradas durante el día de hoy en el CEM Olímpics Vall d’Hebrón, que ha conseguido pleno de público con todas las localidades existentes. Durante las finales, y como era de esperar ante una cita de este nivel, se han vivido momentos de máxima tensión junto con la demostración del mejor bádminton de los jugadores.
La local Carolina Marín [1] no pudo esta vez obtener el título en casa. Marín cayó derrotada en un encuentro muy intenso ante la jugadora tailandesa Pornpawee Chochuwong, que necesitó de un tercer set para lograr la victoria ante una Marín que no se daba por vencida. Tras sentenciar el primer set con un marcador holgado (21-11), la española cedía el segundo y tercer set ante la jugadora asiática (21-16 y 21-18). En todo momento, el público quiso acompañar a la local con vítores y ánimos.
Viktor Axelsen [1] revalida el título en individual masculino. El danés se proclamó, una vez más, campeón del Barcelona Spain Masters. Axelsen, el máximo favorito de la competición, se impuso al jugador tailandés Kunlavut Vitidsarn en dos sets: 21-16 y 21-13. Así pues, Axelsen ha demostrado ser, una vez más, uno de los mejores jugadores del mundo.
En la modalidad de dobles femenino, el dúo Greysia Polii - Apriyani Rahayu [1] (Indonesia) se hacían con el oro tras vencer en el que fue el partido más largo de la jornada (más de una hora y media de duración) a las hermanas búlgaras Gabriela Stoeva - Stefani Stoeva [3]: 18-21, 22-20 y 21-17.
Los daneses Kim Astrup - Anders Skaarup Rasmussen [4] completan su brillante actuación en el torneo con el oro en el dobles masculino. La pareja danesa protagonizó una remontada en el marcador y consiguió cerrar en dos sets su victoria ante los cabezas de serie de la competición, el dúo de China Taipéi Lee Yang - Wang Chi-Lin [1]: 21-17 y 21-19.
Por último, en dobles mixtos, los coreanos Kim Sa Rang - Kim Ha Na se proclamaban campeones de esta edición tras vencer en tres sets a los jóvenes franceses Thom Gicquel – Delphine Delrue [6] en un ajustado encuentro: 15-21, 21-11 y 21-10.

The third edition of the Barcelona Spain Masters has concluded with the finals held today at the CEM Olímpics Vall d’Hebrón, which has achieved full of spectators with all existing locations. During the finals, and as expected before an appointment of this level, there have been moments of maximum tension along with the demonstration of the best badminton of the players.
The local Carolina Marín [1] could not get the title at home this time. Marín was defeated in a very intense match against the Thai player Pornpawee Chochuwong, who needed a third set to achieve victory against a Marin who did not give up. After sentencing the first set with a loose marker (21-11), the Spanish yielded the second and third set to the Asian player (21-16 and 21-18). At all times, the public wanted to accompany the store with cheers and encouragement.
Viktor Axelsen [1] revalidates the title in men's singles. The Danish was proclaimed, once again, champion of the Barcelona Spain Masters. Axelsen, the competition's favorite, beat Thai player Kunlavut Vitidsarn in two sets: 21-16 and 21-13. Thus, Axelsen has proven to be, once again, one of the best players in the world.

The Danish couple starred in a comeback on the scoreboard and managed to close their victory in two sets against the series heads of the competition, the Chinese duo Taipei Lee Yang - Wang Chi-Lin [1]: 21-17 and 21-19.
Finally, in mixed doubles, the Koreans Kim Sa Rang - Kim Ha Na proclaimed themselves champions of this edition after beating in three sets the young Frenchmen Thom Gicquel - Delphine Delrue [6] in a tight match: 15-21, 21- 11 and 21-10.
